Q: What are RoC, RoX and RoCX?
A: RoC is an initialism for Rhye's of Civilization, a mod for Civ3; RoX and RoCX are initialisms for Rhye's of Civilization Expansion Pack and Rhye's of Civilization "expanded" (basic + expansion pack) respectively.

Q: What's RFC?
A: RFC is an initialism for Rhye's and Fall of Civilization, the sequel of RoC for Civilization IV (Civ 4).

Q: How do I install the mod?
A: Unzip the file to the Mods folder in your main Civ 4 directory (C:\Program Files\2K Games\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Mods). For the expansion versions, just in unzip the file to the Mods folder in the expansion's directory (for Warlords: C:\Program Files\2K Games\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 \Warlords\Mods) (for Beyond the Sword (BtS): C:\Program Files\2K Games\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods)

Q: How do I start a new game?
A: First start Civilization IV, go to ADVANCED, then LOAD A MOD. Select Rhye’s and Fall of Civilization. Then SINGLE PLAYER, PLAY A SCENARIO, and then select Rhye’s and Fall of Civilization.

Q: I can't play the mod. What am I doing wrong?
A: Ensure you have patched Civ 4 to 1.74 (Warlords to 2.13 and BtS to 3.19 if you are planning to play the mod via either expansion), and try deleting your Custom Assets folder, the one in My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\CustomAssets folder (back it up first, of course, to be safe) and see if the problem still persists. Custom Assets may be not compatible and cause conflict with the mod.

Q: Why are there just 3 difficulty levels?
A: They are adaptive to each civilization. In other words, the Monarch level for India has very different handicaps than the Monarch level for Germany. They have been tuned based on AI performance in order to balance the advantage / disadvantage of starting in a particular location, in a particular year.

Q: I started at 3000BC and the game just loaded a pop up with a loading bar "by itself" and nothing has happened for 5 minutes. What's this all about?
A: If you pick any faction except China, Egypt, India (and Babylon for Warlords and BtS players) you will start later than 3000 BC and the AI will play on its own to the point when you start; for example Arabia starts at 600 AD or so and America during the 18th century.

Q: My computer is old and I don't want to wait 30 minutes or more to play a game
A: You can always start with an early civ and switch later, or you can check here if a quick start is available.

Q: I like some features of RFC. Can I use them in my own mod?
A: Changes are made both in python files and in the SDK. If you want to export a single feature you should ask Rhye where the changes are. But usually they are hardcoded in the SDK and hardwired to the map, so this won't be possible. For instance, you can't use RFC's Earth map with other mods, because it contains marshes.

Q: How do I win as [insert civilization name]
A: Please direct your attention to our Strategy guides page and kindly read the article/s relevant to your quandary.

Q: I still have some more questions.
A: Ask them in our forum. Many forum users will help you.
