Historical city names locations


A peculiar feature introduced in Rhye’s since Civ4: founded cities will take the name defined by their location, for a specific civ’s map, rather than a random name. Names will change language with the city owner.





Customised settlers AI


Computer players will know where to settle according to historically realistic location: while not compulsory or scripted, they will prefer heading to certain regions (Spain in South America, Greece in the Mediterranean coasts, and so on).

AIs can be competitive and at the same time roleplay their personality. Each civilization AI has been customized in order to expand in a way that is appropriate to the the civilization’s role in real history. For example, a seafaring civilization, such as Portugal, will be active in colonising some locations in the East Coast of South America and in other continents, while maintaining a small mainland territory.
